HI, I'M MAX.
I’m a UK-based architectural artist specializing in hand-drawn pen and ink illustrations that celebrate craftsmanship, detail, and the stories held within remarkable buildings. After moving from a career in construction into art full-time, I’ve built a community of 56K+ followers across social media, drawn to the way I break complex architecture down into precise, considered linework.

Course Structure
A Beginner’s Guide to Architectural Illustration: Drawing Buildings in Detail Without Feeling Overwhelmed takes you through the complete process of creating a finished architectural illustration of Whitehall Horse Guards, while teaching you a method you can reuse on other buildings.
You’ll begin with the fundamentals: choosing your tools, improving line control, understanding perspective, and learning how to recognise a strong reference photo. From there, Max will show you how to break the building into simple shapes, map proportions, construct the façade in pencil, and gradually add windows, architectural details, the clock tower, railings, brickwork, and surrounding elements.
